The goal of Project REACH is to increase the rate of college completion and the quality of career preparation amongst Girls Inc. alumnae through researched-based case management, empowerment programs, academic advising and career development opportunities.
Project REACH uses a multi-prong approach to support young women’s journey to and through college through programs that target academic enrichment, social emotional learning, professional development and holistic wellness.
College Shower- Yearlong college prep and SEL curriculum for high school seniors and a culminating awards dinner where select students receive goods for their college dorm
College Roundtable- A mixer and educational program for high-school seniors where they build their LinkedIn pages, conduct mock interviews, and support their career preparation
College Decision Day- A celebration and micro conference for college seniors who have declared their college/university commitments
Paper Chaser Summit- An alternative Spring Break event series for collegiate students including an internship panel, professional development workshops, community service activities and a social event
Level Up Conference- A summer engagement and empowerment conference for graduating high school seniors and current college students
Fall Back- A fall kick-back x friendsgiving dinner for Girls Inc. alumnae and Project REACH supporters
Dream Chaser Summit- A winter break wellness and personal development summit for collegiate students
LeadHER Quest- A professional development program and internship-to-career pipeline shared with Girls Inc and participating corporate partners
Newsletter- A monthly resource for Girls inc. collegiate students including tips for how to succeed in college and beyond
Podcast- Office Hours w/ Glenda Smiley is a monthly life coaching Podcast featuring guest speakers and/or Girls Inc. alumnae on personal and career development topics
