Why Run with Girls Inc. of New York City?

Girls Inc. of New York City inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, delivering life-transforming programs to girls, young women, and gender-expansive youth throughout New York City. Through education and advocacy, we prepare girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers to advance to a more equitable world. Now serving approximately 10,000 girls at over 80 schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, our success is derived from the perseverance of our program participants, who are determined to empower themselves to succeed.

Implemented by trained professionals in a positive environment, GINYC’s research-based curricula equip participants in some of New York City’s most economically disadvantaged communities to achieve academically, get into and complete college, lead healthy and physically active lives, manage peer pressure, navigate media messages, make sound financial decisions, and discover or expand interests in STEM fields.
